Visitors information

As always, the safety of our patients, visitors and staff is our highest priority. With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, we’ve eased some of the limitations for visitors to our hospital. There are still some restrictions depending on the area of the hospital that you will be visiting and everyone entering the hospital will undertake a COVID-19 screening.

General Wards

  • One designated visitor per patient, up to 1 hour per visitor
  • Visitors need to be 12 years old or older. Those up to 16 years are to be accompanied by an adult
  • Visiting hours: 10am to 11am and 4.00pm to 6.00pm

Paediatrics

  • Day cases one parent/carer only, no visitors
  • Overnight Paediatrics – One parents/carer to stay
  • Both Parents can visit together during the day.
  • No Siblings
  • No other visitors

Maternity

Day Surgery

  • No visitors - drop-off and pick-up only

Intensive Care Unit

  • One visitor allowed during visitor hours: 10.00am to 11.00am and 4.00 to 6.00pm

Oncology

  • No visitors - drop-off and pick-up only

Emergency Department

  • One designated visitor per patient

Please contact your loved one by telephone or device, and our friendly staff will support and encourage regular digital contact so you can keep in touch.

At times there may be circumstances for consideration of the visitor guidelines, requests for exceptions are to be directed the Director of Nursing or delegate.

Mask requirements

When entering the hospital, visitors will undertake a COVID-19 health screening and check-in via QR code. Masks are to be worn by visitors at all times from entry to the hospital.

Parking

Ample parking is available in the car park located on ground level and in the basement of the hospital. For further details please visit the Interpark website.

Public Transport

The closest bus stop is located at the front entrance of the hospital and is serviced by Routes 664, 715 and 745.

A bus stop on Old Windsor Road services Routes 602X, 607N, 607X, 616X, 663, 664 and 665 is a 10 minute walk from the entrance.

For the convenience of patients and visitors, retail services are located on the ground floor of the hospital.

Hudsons Coffee serves hot and cold beverages, light snacks and meals.

Nutsn'bolts Nut, Juice & Food Bar

Nutsn'bolts Nut, Juice and Food bar serves a wonderful array of fresh salads, sushi, nuts and fresh sandwiches. Also fresh juice and smoothies are served.

Located in Suite 24, Ground Floor of the hospital

Can I bring food to the person I am visiting?

In general it’s fine to bring food in but please check with the ward first as there are some areas of the hospital where food restrictions may apply.

WiFi is available for visitors. You may connect to our hospital WiFi by selecting our network in your settings.

No password is required.

Flowers

Although we do not have a florist on premises, flowers may be delivered to reception and they will be sent to the patient.

Please check with the ward before sending flowers as there are some areas of the hospital where restrictions may apply.



Patient Finder is a quick and easy way to find information about a patient during their stay at Norwest Private Hospital. Track a surgery patient’s progress through theatre, recovery, and return to their ward.

The ward, room number, and in some cases phone extension number in their room is displayed.

If a patient changes wards or room numbers during their hospital stay, Patient Finder will display their updated location.
