Norwest Private Hospital boosts theatre and day surgery capacity.
Norwest Private Hospital has opened a new day procedure theatre, to help meet the needs of a rapidly growing population in Sydney’s north-west and demand for surgical and diagnostic services.
Norwest Private’s new theatre will allow specialists to perform more procedures, giving patients greater flexibility and faster access to surgery. The upgrade reflects the hospital’s growth, modernisation, and continued investment in healthcare infrastructure, ensuring the community can continue accessing quality care close to home.
The hospital’s endoscopy suites have also been fully refurbished and are now operational. Patients undergoing procedures such as gastroscopies and colonoscopies will benefit from modern, comfortable spaces designed for efficiency and safety. Updated equipment supports clinicians to deliver high-quality care while ensuring patients feel confident throughout their procedures.
Together, the new theatre and refurbished endoscopy suites will reduce wait times for both diagnostic and elective procedures, enabling quicker diagnosis, faster treatment, and better outcomes for patients and their families.
A second day procedure theatre planned for 2027, will further strengthen the hospital’s capacity to meet the needs of the growing local community.
